D.S.P. Lund (originally from Denmark) brought his family from North Dakota to Kaycee in 1926. He found work at the Kaycee Creamery selling and delivering goods to Midwest. They lived in three rooms in the back of the store, and Mette Lund (his wife) decided to start a small grocery store in one of the rooms. They did well enough to buy the former bank building across the alley and move the store there. D.S.P. began buying beef from local ranchers to add to the store inventory, and the store was called Kaycee Meat Market. D.S.P was known as "Babe" and his wife was called Aunt Mette. Shirley (?Haines?) bought it and operated as such until torn down after the Kaycee Flood in 2002.
